Cultivation Department
Cultivate the best flower in our state-of-the-art facility with the best talent in the industry. This department is responsible for plant care throughout all stages of cannabis. From germination, vegetative, flowering, and harvest, we use cutting-edge innovation combined with decades of experience.
Cultivation Agents
SUMMARY
Galaxy Labs is seeking a full-time Cultivation Agent to join our Richton Park, IL craft grow team. We are looking for a passionate individual who will perform a variety of plant maintenance activities to ensure the highest quality flower for our customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Daily plant care that includes watering, pruning, defoliating, de-fanning, and trimming
- Transplanting, potting, trellising, netting, plant training, and other various plant production related activities needed throughout the cultivation process
- Cloning responsibilities; cutting, rooting, and transplanting; clone care, watering, and feeding
- Monitoring plant growth, health, and appearance in the grow rooms; regularly inspecting plants for signs of pests and/or disease; report any insect, pest, or mold issues to management
- Documenting and recording the application of all nutrients and/or substances applied to all plants
- Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of production area
- Make sure tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as needed
- General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays and tools and cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment
- Adhering to strict biological security protocols to aid in the efforts of preventing contamination
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Cultivation Manager/Director of Operations

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in an environment that is 80+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods of time
- Must be physically able to climb ladders or scaffolding, bend, kneel, or crawl into awkward spaces
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Prolonged periods of hand use
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at appropriate times
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in food or manufacturing production preferred; cannabis ideal
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations working in the industry
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis

Post Harvest Department
Help develop safe, effective, and reliable products that are changing the way people find relief. This department is responsible for all aspects of plant processing, including packaging and labeling of the final product.
Post-Harvest Agents
SUMMARY
Galaxy Labs is looking to hire a Post-Harvest Agent. This individual will work under the direction of the Post-Harvest Processing Manager and will be responsible for the handling and monitoring of cannabis plant material during the curing, drying, and packaging phases.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Understand and assist in the post-harvest processing of cannabis (drying, trimming, break down, curing, weighing, recording, inspecting, packaging and labeling plant material)
- Perform the physical breakdown of the cannabis plant; must be able to use dexterity, coordination, and precision to perform tasks that require manual manipulation
- Demonstrate proficiency with weights, measurements, and math
- Trim flower from plant in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring a quality product
- Packaging and labeling products as directed
- Collecting samples and performing tests to ensure quality
- Must maintain quality standards, follow visual work instructions, and support flower quality improvement initiatives
- Safely transport products from work space to storage area
- Thoroughly cleaning tools, supplies, while maintaining a sanitary work environment
- Ability to meet daily production metrics
- Follow department specific work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Other duties as assigned by Post-Harvest Processing Manager
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong attention to detail; ability to focus on a task for long periods of time
- Ability to measure, package and label in a precise manner
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to discern the quality of plant material and finished products
- Strong communication and written skills
- Ability to follow directions and perform job tasks in a consistent manner

- Basic weights and measurement skills; ability to operate a scale
Physical Requirements
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time
- Close visual focus required
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (with assistance) and be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product
- Regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stopping, and repetitive motions
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in food/manufacturing environment preferred, cannabis ideal
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations working in the industry
